The annual Buffalo Bill Days festival brings a fun-filled weekend of western-style entertainment to the city of Golden, Colorado. The highlight of the weekend includes the Best of the West Parade and the Wild West Show.
The festival’s namesake, Buffalo Bill Cody, spent time in Golden, Denver, and Central City with his famous Wild West Show in which genuine cowboys and cowgirls demonstrated their skills. He is buried atop Lookout Mountain in Golden. Legend has it that while alive, he often commented he could see all the way to Kansas from this Golden vantage point.
